I've been trying to find one snow tire on CL. It's been a very frustrating experience... and led me to find and post this, I hope it's helpful:

Another idea that might help tires is if there were a way for a sellers and buyers to enter the size in dropdowns so that we all type the sizes the same way. Searching is very difficult because some sellers don't use the same text as others.
Trying to find a tire size "205/55-16" is very very hard to do. If you search for "tire 205 55 16" you find a lot more than what you want, sometimes enough to be a completely useless search. Sometimes searching for "tire 205 55" can get you close, but again you get a lot more listings than is practical.
If all sellers entered tires as EXACTLY "###/##-##" format, then searching for the exact size would work. But since sellers don't list that way all the time (most of the time), it gets a lot harder to weed through.
